That woman was Lillian Vernon, the namesake for our company. Many successful years later, her legacy continues.

  • Lillian Vernon founded the Lillian Vernon Corporation. When it went public in 1987, it was the first company traded on the American Stock Exchange founded by a woman. Her entire life, both personally and professionally, was marked by tenacity and drive. As a businesswoman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, she brought inventiveness and marketing moxie to everything she did, impacting many lives. Ms. Vernon passed away December 14, 2015 in Manhattan, NY.
